Windows 7 RC1 is available for download starting today. One customer has already tested his EZGUI apps on the last beta version and so far things look good.
Is anyone else doing any testing of their software on Windows 7 ?
Do you plan on downloading this current version ?
I am interested in any feedback on using EZGUI on Windows 7.
Windows 7 (pro version) will come with Windows Virtual PC, running a real copy of Windows XP.
Home users will have to download the XP virtual environment (a big download too).
My impression is that for Windows 7 to use a virtual copy of XP, for backward compatibility of XP applications, MS must be expecting Windows 7 to "break" a lot of XP software. This will be called the XP mode.
Now of they expect XP software to break, imagine what this means for software designed for Windows 98 or ME.
Now if EZGUI apps can run flawlessly on Windows 7, without the need for the XP mode, then this will mean your apps will be Windows 7 ready already.
I need to know what works and what doesn't with EZGUI.
Like I said, one user has already tested his software on the Windows 7 beta and he says it works fine (his software uses a lot of graphics and ownerdraw too).
